My initial motivation for creating my work was an attempt to create a musical spectacle in the sky. One of my sources of inspiration was the Ascention of Christ, and my attraction to visualize, contextualize and interpret this myth and narrative, as a contemporary story, placed in an industrial and technological enviroment. The performance takes place in the sky, while the performer serves as a protagonist of a cinematic dream, caught in-between life and death, heaven and earth, reality and fantasy. The work raises many questions: How do we perceive the relations between an aesthetic experience and a religious one ? In what ways they are connected ? Is there a chance of epiphany and revelation in a mechanical era ? What is the position of religion, god and belief in this current environment.
