Borges' Aleph represents a unique place from which every event on the planet can be seen. Today, we could say that Aleph has metastasized and is found in every device with a screen. Every man can concurently reach any point in the world. In that sense, the modern Aleph is the opposite of Borges', because he is not exclusive but everyone's.
