čelični nosač, magneti, offset ploče / steel support, magnets, offset plates
210 x 70 x 70 cm

Lines in Space 3 presents one of eight compositions created as part of a larger whole presented at my solo exhibition North East South West North earlier this year at the Bačva Gallery. The work consists of eight offset plates attached to a steel carrier with magnets. I continue my exploration of the concept of the image as such, in this case, we can talk about the exploration of plasticity. I use materials such as paper, string, mirrors, plexiglass, and in this case, aluminum. Technically, I create the images by collaging/assembling the mentioned materials so in this work Lines in Space 3 we could talk about collaging space. The empty space that is between the shapes on the carrier becomes part of the work, or rather its matter. In my work, I insist on the conceptual process. Before starting the work, I set myself certain parameters that I respect throughout the execution and it results in a certain visual form that is dictated by those parameters, and not by my free will or by chance that could have happened. In my work, there is no symbolism or various narratives but rather analytical research and systematic presentations where the work can function separately and as a whole. The relationship between the work/observer and the work/space is very important for reading my works.
